Comme beaucoup, Slayer a été un gros choc quand je les ai découverts il y bien 10 de cela, j'avais 12 ans... Je me passais en boucle les 3 premiers albums mythiques.

Slayer, mon groupe préféré, tout a changé le jour ou j'ai écouté "South Of Heaven" pour la première fois. La vieille époque, celle ou tu économise le moindre franc en attendant la sortie d'un nouvel album...
Jeff Hanneman, un des mecs les moins classes du monde, mais un des plus talentueux dans son domaine, tu vas manquer à pas mal de monde mec.
Tu as trop forcé sur la bouteille et tu part beaucoup trop tôt.
Repose en paix.

Repose en paix mon doux guerrier. Je n'arrive pas à y croire et bizarrement, même si je ne l'ai connu qu'en live et sur cd, ça me rend extrêmement triste. J'ai les larmes qui n'arrivent pas à sortir à ça fait mal...
"Show no Mercy", je m'en rappelerai toujours quand on me l'a prété et cet album m'a fait définitivement basculé du côté obscur de la Force.
Mes doigts ont saigné d'avoir appris à jouer du Slayer mais c'était pour le plus grand bien.
Et merci d'avoir été l'instigateur de cet excellent album qu'est "Undisputed attitude" et de m'avoir forcé à remuer ciel et terre pour trouver de la Michelob en France.
R.I.P Jeff

C'est triste, même si j'ai décroché de Slayer depuis longtemps et que je ne suis fan que des trois premiers album uniquement(surtout hell awaits).
Une maladie du foie l'aurait emporté ?, je pense peut être que les excés du "rock'n'roll" ne doivent pas être étranger à ça malgré tout...

Putain, je me sens bizarre... Comme les plus anciens d'entre nous, c'est une partie de mon adolescence qui s'en va. En fait, j'ai davantage l'impression de perdre un ami. D'autant plus que j'ignorais ses problèmes de foie et espérais un proche retour avec Slayer.
