Defenders of the Old Festival is dedicated to bands both classic and contemporary as well the fans that are keeping the spirit of the music alive and relevant.
The first edition started in Baltimore, MD in 2010 and featured Tyrant, Revelation, Sentinel Beast, Blood Feast, Ares Kingdom and October 31, with the second edition a year later with Tension, Midnight, Destructor, festival mainstays October 31 and Züül.
Four years later, the festival returns stronger than ever and will take place in NYC with Canadian Speed Metal legends Exciter—reunited with the classic line-up of John Ricci, Allan Johnson and Dan Beehler—and the Wild Dogs themselves, The Rods, along with Cauchemar, High Spirits and, of course, October 31, with many more TBA. Long Live the Loud!
