RABBITS is from Portland, Oregon,
and comprises Sethro (L-gtr/vox), KG (C-drmz), and Booze (R-gtr/vox/wrdz).
Started circa 2002, RABBITS is known in the DIY underground for their special concoction of bludgeoning, full-throttle, but strangely catchy hardcore noise rock and mesmerizingly intense live shows.
RABBITS has more than a dozen releases scattered across formats and labels, including the 2011 LP Lower Forms on Relapse Records, the 2012 LP Bite Rites on Good to Die (both of which ended up on many a discerning year-end list), and most recently the decade-spanning compilation SOS (Singles, Other Shit) on their own label Eolian Empire.
Their forthcoming record Untoward will be released summer 2014 on Lamb Unlimited, a new label started by Chris Spencer from Unsane.
RABBITS plays their hometown of Portland often and tours seldom, sharing the stage with the likes of Red Fang, Big Business, Yob, Black Cobra, Rorschach, VAZ, Arabrot, and Burmese.
RABBITS has been compared to Melvins, KARP, Unsane, Jesus Lizard, Cows, Flipper, Butthole Surfers, Harvey Milk, Brainbombs, and many other excellent bands but really doesn’t sound like any of them.
And their name is not stupid.

selected press:

general
"Portland trio RABBITS is nothing less than incessantly punishing" - Terrorizer
"with their punk as fuck attitude, sludge metal leanings, and some fantastic use of dirty-ass old school rock, these guys are nailing the art of melding genres" - Metal Sucks
"thick as molasses, punked-out sludgy noise rock that KILLS!" - Aquarius Records
"gets all in your brain with driving tunes that will disturb you and make you jam out at the same time" - CVLT Nation
"one of Portland's most enjoyably brutal bands... so awesomely fucked" - Portland Mercury
"excessively loud, noisy, heavy and rather marvelous" - Aural Delights
"they have a shit name and are super boring" - Lambgoat

SOS (Singles, Other Shit)
"this album is trash—-beautiful, sexy, grinding-against-your-leg trash" - SLUG Magazine
"noisy and abrasive and a kick in the teeth" - The Sludgelord
"as always, the sonic deluge is both heady and brutal, combining sludge, hardcore and noise rock with stunning effect" - Black Insect Laughter

Bites Rites
"ever wonder what would happen if you put your Butthole Surfers records through a buzz saw?" – Vancouver Weekly
"brilliant storming shitrock… sped up and aggro hateful, like some mean, ratty pissed off uncles of Fu Manchu from up north of the redwood/good bud curtain" – Your Flesh
"this album destroys with crushing, grooving madness" – American Aftermath
"an unrestrained monstrosity, ripping and tearing it’s way through your sensibilities, leaving a gore splattered hole all the way through to the other side." - Church of the Riff
"makes their case for 2012's most vitriolic piss & vinegar-stained album by stripping down to animosity's bare ass and pointing middle fingers at every turn." - Heavy Planet

Lower Forms
"ranging in approach from sludgy-as-all-fuck (a la Buzzov*en) to violent, old-school hardcore (think Negative Approach) to aggressive noise-rock (Unsane come to mind), if you're brave enough to stick your head down their rabbit hole you can expect to have it bitten off, chewed up and spat out" - Terrorizer
"crude, brain-damaged, and cacklingly mean-spirited, the disc is a twisted riff-fest of almost Jesus Lizard-ish proportions" - The A.V. Club
"a thing of cracked-out, violent beauty: earthquake-heavy brontosaurus rock with fierce riffs and crustpunk roars" - Portland Mercury
“...strange riffing, confusing and surprising arrangements and lyrics that haunt you like a demonic nursery rhyme, and you still don't know what hit you... Superb record!” - Lords of Metal
"a brilliantly executed misanthropic and overwhelmingly ugly soundscape that stands in stark contrast to the subtle injections of immediately catchy melody presented within... An instant classic.” - Rockfreaks
"everything I could possibly hate about a record rolled into one and then served on a piece of shit" - Angry Metal Guy

About ARABROT
The Norwegian Grammy-award winning noise rock band Arabrot first received widespread recognition with the Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies)-produced third album,The Brother Seed (2009).
Following this album, Arabrot went into a creative blaze the succeeding years performing movie soundtracks, art space happenings and collaborations. At the same time Arabrot produced the exploratory EPs AbsoluteNegativism, I Rove and Mæsscr, two albums under the Nernes/Skagen moniker, as well as two stand out albums: The gargantuan Billy Anderson-produced double album REVENGE (2010) and the needle-sharp Steve Albini-produced Solar Anus (awarded Best Metal in the Norwegian Grammy 2011).

Praise for the latest Arabrot s/t album:
8/10 in NME: Arabrot are pretty much untouchable in the global noise-rock stakes right now
8/10 in Metal Hammer: Without a doubt a grotesque triumph
8/10 in Rock Sound: Somewhere between Danzig and the Melvins singing upbeat black metal songs
8/10 in Terrorizer: A gnarly, primal charge that's life-affirming to witness
